Introduction
When you visit our website, information about you is collected and used to customise and improve our content and to increase the value of the advertisements displayed on the site. If you do not wish for information to be collected, you can change your cookie preferences at any time via our cookie banner or by clicking “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page. Below we have detailed what information is collected, its purpose, and which third parties have access to it.
Cookies
The website uses “cookies”, which are text files stored on your computer, mobile phone, or similar device for the purpose of recognising it, remembering settings, performing statistics, and targeting advertisements. Cookies cannot contain harmful code such as viruses.
When you visit our website for the first time, a cookie banner is displayed where you can actively choose which categories of cookies you wish to allow:
- Necessary cookies: Basic functionality such as navigation and security. These are always active and do not require consent.
- Statistics cookies: Help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Only activated with your consent.
- Marketing cookies: Used to show relevant advertisements and measure campaign effectiveness. Only activated with your consent.
No statistics or marketing cookies are set until you have actively given consent. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of each page.
Anonymous web analytics without cookies (PostHog)
We use PostHog for basic, anonymous web analytics. If you decline statistics cookies (choose “Necessary only”), PostHog runs in a cookieless mode where:
- No cookies are set and no data is stored in your browser
- Your IP address is anonymised (hashed) and not stored in plain text
- No persistent user ID is created, and you cannot be recognised across sessions
- Only aggregated, anonymous data about page views and clicks is collected
This anonymous analysis is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) in understanding how our website is used so we can improve it. As no personal data is processed in this mode, it does not require consent.
If you consent to statistics cookies, full PostHog tracking with cookies and a persistent user ID is activated so we can understand user behaviour across sessions. All data is stored on PostHog's EU servers (Frankfurt, Germany).
It is also possible to delete or block cookies via your browser. See instructions: aboutcookies.org
If you delete or block cookies, advertisements may become less relevant to you and appear more frequently. You may also find that the website does not function optimally and that there is content you cannot access.
Depending on your consent, the website may contain cookies from the following third parties:
- PostHog (anonymous web analytics, EU servers)
- Google Analytics
- Google Ads
- Google Tag Manager
- Meta (Facebook)
